As a part of Science Week, today we learned about the 3 states of matter. We had a class discussion about how particles move in each state.
We then created a chemical reaction between vinegar (a liquid) and baking soda (a solid) to inflate a balloon (a gas).
The children learned that the gas that we created is carbon dioxide, the same gas that humans exhale.
Well done today little scientists!
