Last week, our class delved into the exciting world of measurement, focusing on items that are close to half a metre in length. This hands-on activity was not only a great way to enhance their understanding of units of measurement but also a wonderful opportunity for collaborative learning and problem-solving.
The children worked in small groups to estimate the length of various classroom objects, predicting whether they were close to 50cm. They then measured these items using rulers and measuring tapes, comparing their estimations to the actual measurements. The level of focus and teamwork displayed by the students was truly remarkable.
