THE FRIDAY NOTE (4TH APRIL 2025)
Dear Parents/ Guardians,
I hope you all had a lovely week and are looking forward to a restful weekend. I trust you all find the following information useful as we get closer to our Easter break!
PARENTS’ COUNCIL: QUIZ NIGHT
On behalf of the school, I wanted to thank everyone involved in last Friday’s Quiz Night! It was a fantastic evening, and it was wonderful to see so many parents out supporting our school. The Quiz raised just over £600. Thanks everyone!
ADMISSIONS NOTIFICATIONS
Most parents of children going through the pre-school and primary school admissions process for the 2025-26 academic year received an early notification of the outcome yesterday morning by email. This was an EA error since the notifications weren’t supposed to be sent until Thursday 9th April. Please be patient with us while we generate letters confirming the outcome of your application.
ASSEMBLIES
Mrs McCormick’s P6 class will be leading our Easter Assembly on Friday 11th April. Parents of children in Mrs McCormick’s P6 class are welcome to attend- assembly begin at 9.30am.
The children who attend iRock music sessions on a Tuesday will be having a showcase assembly on Tuesday 8th April. If your children attend iRock, please feel free to come along and support them at this special assembly. It will begin at 9.30am.
CAR PARKING
Please ensure our turning circle is free from parked cars in the mornings and at 2.50pm for the school bus. Thanks for your support with this!
SUSTRANS: BIG WALK AND WHEEL CHALLENGE
It’s great to see more children walking, scotting or cycling into school each morning. Next week we will continue with the Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel challenge! We’d love to see as many people getting involved as possible.
EASTER EGG RAFFLE
Tickets for our Easter Raffle are still available costing 10p each. Draws take place each Friday in assembly, until our final prize draw on Tuesday 15th April. This year the money raised will be donated to Nits and Natters who work tirelessly throughout the year to raise funds for NI Breast Cancer charity ‘Pretty ‘n Pink’ and Southern Area Hospice.
EASTER BREAK
We will be breaking up for Easter on Thursday 17th April. This is a half day for the children and school will finish between 11am and 12noon for all pupils. Term 3 will begin on Tuesday 6th May.
