The Friday Note (28.02.25)

THE FRIDAY NOTE (28TH FEBRUARY 2025)

Dear Parents/ Guardians,

Hopefully everyone has had a great week and that you’re all looking forward to the weekend. I hope you find the following information useful in navigating the next week at Saints and Scholars!

WORLD BOOK DAY

World Book Day is just around the corner and will be taking place on Thursday 6th March 2025. We’re looking forward to seeing everyone’s World Book Day costumes on Thursday. If your child doesn’t want to dress up, they are welcome to come to school in their normal clothes. We have an action-packed day planned for next Thursday- keep your eyes peeled on our social media platforms to see the fun that we all get up to!

Our Parents’ Council will be organising a World Book Day costume and book swap shop next week! Please drop off old costumes and books to the office on Monday and Tuesday next week. The swap shop will be open from Tuesday afternoon at home time! Thank you in advance for supporting our Parents’ Council!

PARENTS’ COUNCIL: QUIZ NIGHT

Calling all you eggheads, brainiacs and smarticles (as well as those who just like a fun evening out)- the Parents’ Council is hosting a Quiz Night! The quiz is adults only and will be held in The Marketplace Theatre, Armagh, on Friday 28th March- kick off at 8pm sharp. It is open to all so feel free to ask family and friends.

Teams are limited to six people, with entry being £5 per person. To reserve a table or a spot at a table, message Amy on 07716331070. Seats are first come, first served and payment will be in cash on the night. As the Council’s main fundraising project for the year, all monies raised will go towards the new library area for the school.

HEADLICE

May we remind you of the importance of regular screening of your child’s hair to prevent the spread of headlice. You can receive advice about headlice treatment from your local pharmacist. It is helpful if long hair is tied back or secured in a way which prevents hair to hair contact with another child.
