THE FRIDAY NOTE (21ST FEBRUARY 2025)
Dear Parents/ Guardians,
I hope everyone has had a lovely week. It was a busy one in Saints and Scholars, but a particular highlight was our ‘Wellness Day’ which we marked yesterday (Thursday 20th February). All our classes enjoyed some relaxing activities in their classrooms, a fabulous relaxation session with Mrs Harrison and everyone enjoyed toasting some marshmallows around the firepit down in Leafy Hollow. A huge thank you to Mrs O’Braonain for planning such a successful day and also to Mrs Harrison for leading us in relaxation techniques and to Miss Macartney for sourcing marshmallows for everyone.
I hope you find the following information useful.
POST-PRIMARY ADMISSIONS PORTAL
EA Connect closed yesterday at 12 noon for online post-primary applications. If you missed this deadline, late applications can still be submitted until 4pm on 25th February. Applications which were made on time will be considered before late applications.
WORLD BOOK DAY
World Book Day will be taking place on Thursday 6th March 2025. On this day we are asking children to come to school dressed as a character from a book. This will be a fun-filled day and we will share more information with you all in next Friday’s Note.
COLLECTION TIMES FOR NURSERY TO P3
We ask that parents collect their children from school punctually each day. School finishes for the children at the following times: Nursery: 1.15-1.30pm; P1 and P2: 1.55pm; P3: 3pm (Monday and Tuesday) and 1.55pm (Wednesday-Friday) The teachers of our younger classes cover in the afternoons and so are unable to supervise children whose parents are running late. Children who haven’t been collected at home time will go to an afternoon club (Nursery-P3 only). We have a 15-minute grace period and then a charge of £2.50 will be added to your Parent Pay account. Thanks in advance for your understanding.
CAR PARKING
Thank you for all your support in terms of car parking in the mornings and afternoons. Please remember to keep the ‘Keep Clear’ box outside Miss Macartney’s classroom free at all times.
